Certificate Program in Comprehensive Management for Agricultural Restoration, Livelihoods, and Food Security in Flood-Prone Areas - amigosfulbright.org

When the floods of February and March 2026 struck 25 of Córdoba’s 30 municipalities, more than 200,000 people lost almost everything: their crops, their livestock, and their means of supporting their families. My name is Lina Tami-Barrera, and together with the University of Córdoba, I designed a certificate program so that these communities can not only recover but also return to farming with stronger tools than before.

Your contribution makes it possible to:

  • A full scholarship (COP 1,400,000) or partial scholarship (COP 700,000) for a farmer or rural leader from a flood-affected area.
  • 80 hours of technical training in agricultural restoration and food security, delivered in a hybrid format.
  • A model for economic recovery that the University of Córdoba will be able to replicate in 2027 in other affected municipalities.
